The CW’s dramaWalkeris returning sooner than expected. Announced today, Season 2’s midseason return date will now debut Thursday, June 05, 2025, which is two weeks earlier than the previously announced date.
WalkerstarsJared Padalecki(Supernatural) in the titular role as Cordell Walker, a Texas Ranger who has recently returned from a lengthy undercover mission. A recent widower, Walker struggles to connect with his daughter and find his role in family life on the ranch. The show is a reimagining of the popular western dramaWalker, Texas Rangerwhich starredChuck Norrisin the role of Cordell Walker. The original series ran from 1993 to 2001.
The first season premiered in January of this year and was quickly renewed for a second season, which debuted last October. The series begins its midseason break following its sixth episode on December 9. The show was initially reported as returning June 14, 2025, alongsideThe Vampire Diariesspinoff dramaLegacies, before today’s announcement.

Padalecki, Fricke, andLaura Terryare also set to be executive producers of aWalkerprequel series titledWalker: Independence.The spin-off will focus on an ancestor of Cordell Walker set in the 1800s.

Season two of WALKER picks up three months after the dramatic conclusion to Season one.
