What’s Next for Marvel Animation?
Spider-Man: The Animated Serieswon’t be coming back for now,but Marvel Animation is hard at work with the future of its comic book characters on the small screen. Earlier this year,Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Manallowed a new version of Peter Parker (voiced byHudson Thames) to save New York City from a wide variety of villains. A second season of that show is currently in development.Spider-Man continues to be one of the most popular heroesfor the brand, even if it’s a different iteration than the one seen inSpider-Man: The Animated Series.
Moving away from Peter Parker and the dangerous streets of New York City, Marvel Animation is also working onEyes of Wakanda. The upcoming show will focus on different generations of T’Challa (Chadwick Boseman) and Shuri’s (Letitia Wright) family. It might be a long time before Marvel Studios can produce a live-action sequel toBlack Panther: Wakanda Forever. But in the meantime, this animated series will allow viewers to return to the mighty nation of Wakanda.

Spider-Man ‘94hits the shelves on September 3. Stay tuned to Collider for more updates.
