After making a huge splash at the global box office, amassing nearly quadruple its budget,One of Them Daysis set to gain even more attention with streaming. That’s right! The highly successful comedy starringKeke PalmerandSZAhas found a home on Netflix where it willbegin streaming on Monday, March 31, according toWhat’s on Netflix. The streaming giant alsoconfirmed this on social mediaa day prior, announcing, “Tomorrow’s about to be One of Them Days.”
This is clearly exciting news, especially for those who missedOne of Them Daysin theaters; plus, the film will be available on the streamer for eighteen months before departing for Hulu. This comes over a month after it wasreleased on digital platformson Tuesday, February 11, with theBlu-ray and DVD release coming up on Tuesday, April 1, featuring a series of bonus features, including a gag reel, cast interviews, and additional featurettes.
Directed byLawrence Lamontfrom a screenplay bySyreeta Singleton,One of Them Dayshit theaters in the U.S. and Canada on January 17, kicking off Sony’s 2025 slate. The pic follows best friends and roommates Dreux (Palmer) and Alyssa (SZA), who find themselves in a tricky situation when they discover that Alyssa’s boyfriend has blown their rent money. The twosome go to extremes in a comical race against the clock to avoid eviction and keep their friendship intact.
Over two weeks ago,One of Them Dayswas on the final path of its box-office run, predicted to earn $50 million worldwide. At the time, it had gained $49.2 million globally, with most of its earnings coming from domestic markets, as it had only earned $413,000 internationally. Now, the film has grossed over $51 million, way more than its production budget of $14 million.
As one of the most remarkable movies of 2025 so far,One of Them Dayshad a great start at the box office, opening with $11.8 million in the second spot, closely behindMufasa: The Lion King, which grossed $12 million during its fifth full weekend in theaters. During its second weekend, it earned another $8 million on its way to taking the third spot, falling behindMufasaonce again but remaining among the top five. Moreover, it wasn’t until its fourth full weekend in theaters that it fell out of the top five after losing toDog ManandHeart Eyes.
