WhileDaniel RadcliffeandEmma Watsoncontinued their Hollywood ascensions after fulfilling their commitments to theHarry Potterfranchise,Rupert Grintslowed down a bit, featuring in only a handful of titles. However, today brings word that the actor will star in a new TV series from Crackle calledSnatch, based on the movie of the same name starringJason StathamandBrad Pitt— not the popular Snatch Game fromRupaul’s Drag Race.

The film was directed byGuy Ritchieand first released in December 2000 before a wider release the following month. The story featured unscrupulous individuals fighting to track down a priceless stolen diamond. The Snatch series will focus on a group of 20-something, amateurish hustlers who happen upon stolen gold bullion and the danger that find brings out.

According to a press release, Grint will play Charlie Cavendish, described as “dynamic, frustratingly chaotic, and utterly posh.”Dougray Scott(Fear the Walking Dead) will play Vic Hill andEd Westwick(Gossip Girl) will have a guest role as Sonny Castillo. Production on the 10 hourlong episodes will begin in Manchester, England next week with directorNick Renton(The Musketeers).

The show is the latest in what has become a trend of adaptation movies for the small screen. Scream proved to a popular one for MTV, while Limitless and 12 Monkeys are still going strong at CBS and Syfy respectively. Many of these, however, are hit or miss.

Snatchwill premiere sometime in 2017. Here’s the official synopsis:
