This $267 millionSinnershas earned in the U.S. is enough to push it pastHarry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets(2002), which is the fifth-highest-ratedHarry Pottermovie of all time, according toRotten Tomatoes. However, the $263 million thatChamber of Secretsgrossed in 2002 amounts to $468 million when accounting for inflation, which is more than $100 million ahead of the current global haul ofSinners.
Sinners, which also starsMichael B. Jordan, has been the biggest success story of the year at the box office thus far, and it’s carved out a name for itself on several impressive all-time lists.Sinnerscurrently stands as the third-highest-grossing horror movie of all time at the domestic box office, falling only behindJaws(1975) andIt(2017). Will There Be a ‘Sinners’ Sequel?

However, Coogler recently confirmed during an interview thathe has no plans to make a prequel or sequel toSinners. He cited his history with franchise filmmaking, working on bothBlack Pantherfilms for theMCU, and mentioned how he wantedSinnersto be one complete piece that didn’t need another project to enhance it.
