One day after Netflix’s upcoming dark comedy series added its first three cast members, the ensemble grows even further. A new report fromVarietyrevealed thatKevin BaconandGlenn Howertonhave boardedSirens, which comes fromMaidcreatorMolly Smith Metzlerand will be adapted from her playElemeno Pea. The show was first confirmed to be in development back in February as casting was underway, and after just a few months,Sirensnow has one of the most impressive group of performers on board to bring this unique story to life. The series takes place over a weekend at a beach estate, and follows a woman who thinks her sister and boss are in a relationship and tries to get in the middle of it, but quickly realizes after getting involved she’s in for more than she bargained for.
Previously confirmed to star inSirenswereMilly Alcock, who plays Rhaenyra Targaryen in Season 1 ofHouse of the Dragonand recently appeared in aSeason 2 flashback, as well asJulianne MooreandMeghann Fahy. Moore is an Oscar-winning actor for her performance inStill Alicein 2014, and was previously nominated for four Academy Awards for her roles inBoogie Nights,The End of the Affair,The Hours, andFar from Heaven. Fahy is best known for her role in the HBO drama series TheWhite Lotuswhere she was nominated for an Emmy Award for her performance, and has also starred inThe Bold Type,The Lost Valentine, andMiss Sloane.

Newly boardedSirenscast member Howerton is best known for his role inIt’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, where he’s appeared in all 172 episodes as Dennis Reynolds. Howerton also starred in one of the most underrated films of 2023 inBlackberry, which currently sits at a 98% from critics and 94% from general audiences onRotten Tomatoes. As for Howeton’s co-star, Bacon is known by all and loved by many, most notably for his role inFootlooseall the way back in 1984. He has since starred in all manner of projects and spread his name far and wide, even earning an Emmy Nomination for Best Lead Actor in a Miniseries onTaking Chance. With Howerton, Bacon, Alcock, Moore, and Fahy leading the cast, fans are almost certainly in for a treat when it comes time for Siren to premiere on Netflix.
