The Screen Actors Guild unveiled its awards nominations on Thursday, and whileMinariandMa Rainey’s Black Bottomled the way,Da 5 BloodsstarDelroy Lindowas snubbed once again, as wasMankactressAmanda SeyfriedandSound of Metalscene-stealerPaul Raci.
There were plenty of surprises, of course, asAmy Adamsearned a nomination forHillbilly Elegy, as did her co-starGlenn Close. Meanwhile,Jared Letoonce again made the cut for his creepy turn inThe Little Things. One surprising snub was that ofEllen Burstyn, whose supporting turn inPieces of a Womanhad been gaining buzz. At leastYoun Yuh-junand her dashing co-starSteven Yeunwere nominated on behalf ofMinari.

On the TV side of things,Bridgerton,Dead to Meand the critically acclaimedI May Destroy Youlanded nominations after being snubbed by the Golden Globes the day before. Expected favoritesThe Crown,The Queen’s GambitandSchitt’s Creekalso had strong showings.
Personally, I was relieved to see the three stars ofOzarknominated once again, while the other noms that had me tickled pink wereJason Sudeikisfor the delightful Apple TV+ comedyTed Lasso, andMark Ruffalofor HBO’s gut-wrenching limited seriesI Know This Much Is True.
While I wish the nominating committee had recognized Raci, who is excellent as he tries to helpRiz Ahmednavigate hearing loss inSound of Metal, I am pleased with the overall diversity reflected in Thursday’s SAG nominations. The full list is below:
