There have been murmurings for the past few weeks that a LEGOGhostbustersFirehouse set was coming soon, and now the company has announced that the building is on its way as well as released the first images.
First the bad news: It won’t be coming out this year. According toLEGO’s Facebook page, the set is due out in January 2016, so don’t put it on your holiday wishlist unless you’re okay with getting an I.O.U.

According toEW, the set will retail for $350, which seems steep, but it’s pretty fair when you consider that it has 4,634 pieces that go into building two floors with a laboratory, living quarters, the requisite ghost containment unit, and nine Minifigs including Peter, Ray, Egon, Winston, Janine Melnitz, Dana Barrett, Louis Tully, the library ghost, and a zombie ghost driver.Gizmodoalso reports that “Slimer is also here, included as a trio of non-Minifig ghosts that can be mounted all over the building, and the entire structure opens up for easy play access.” And for those who love attention to detail (and don’t we all?), mood slime bubbles up through the cracks in the sidewalk.
Check out the LEGOGhostbustersFirehouse images below, which were taken in front of Hook & Ladder 8, the real-life firehouse used in the movies (click hereto learn more about it).
