The first story up on this Thursday show is the mighty surprisingnewsthatChris Rockof all people is stepping in to bring theSawfranchise back to the big screen. As described by producersMark BurgandOren Koules, “Chris wants to put his own spin on theSawfranchise in the way Eddie Murphy put a completely fresh perspective on buddy-cop films with48 Hours." This “event film” won’t be a reboot, rather a story that will work with the existing franchise mythology started byJames WanandLeigh Whannell. The Movie Talk  panel jumps in to discuss if this is too out-of-left-field to work or if Rock might have something special here.
