It’s been reported thatJerry Bruckheimerwas brought on to produce the film during its final leg of post-production, and it was in such bad shape thatWarner Bros. fully rejected what was going to be the final cut.Laeta KalogridisandDanny Cannonwere brought in to write and direct new material during the ninth hour, which reportedly added around $15 million to the budget.Geostormmarked the feature directorial debut ofDean Devlin, who helmedBad Samaritanthe year after its release.Bad SamaritanstarsDavid TennantandKerry Condon. Before he began his directing career, Devlin worked as a producer on famous disaster films in the past, likeIndependence Day(Will Smith). He also returned to produce the 2016 sequel,Independence Day: Resurgence, which replaced Smith withLiam Hemsworthin the leading role.

Gerard Butler Has Two Movies Dominating Netflix

Two of Gerard Butler’s recent movies recently arrived on Netflix, and both wasted no time claiming a spot in the top 10. The most successful of the two has beenKandahar, the 2023 conspiracy thriller following a CIA operative and his translator who flee from special forces in Afghanistan.Tom Rhys Harris(Clayface) also stars in the film. The second is Butler’s controversialGods of Egyptmovie, which also stars the lateChadwick Bosemanand others, includingNikolaj Coster-Waldau(Game of Thrones) andElodie Yung(Daredevil).Kandaharis #2 on the Netflix streaming charts at the time of writing, andGods of Egyptfalls slightly behind in the #6 spot.
