Disney and Pixar have released the first trailer forFinding Dory, the highly anticipated sequel to the 2003 box office smashFinding Nemo.Andrew Stantonreturns to direct and co-write (alongsideVictoria Strouse) the follow-up, which finds Dory (voiced byEllen Degeneres) searching for answers about her past and her family with the help of Marlin (Albert Brooks) and Nemo.
As you can see in this first trailer for the animated adventure, Marlin and Nemo are still happily reunited, but their forgetful friend Dory develops the bad habit of sleep-swimming. In addition to that, she’s also plagued by her inability to remember things, but long-suppressed memories about her family and her past bubble up to the surface and soon send her off on a quest to find answers. It’s a cute setup that’s just different enough from the original film to be interesting. And while this first trailer doesn’t introduce any characters beyond the three leads, you can bet that Pixar’sFinding Nemosequel will have plenty of fish in the sea.
