First included as one of the two post-credit scenes forSpider-Man: No Way Home, theDoctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madnesstrailer was released for all to see last week. As is often the case with Marvel trailers, fans were left with more questions than answers, and given that the Doctor Strange sequel sees Earth’s most powerful sorcerer dive into the Multiverse, there are even more questions than usual.Spider-Man: No Way Homeunited three iterations of Spider-Men and their villains, and that film only scratched the surface of the Multiverse. However, the Doctor Strange sequel promises to dive headfirst into the Multiverse, meaning countless characters could appear inBenedict Cumberbatch’s second solo movie. A return from Ralph Bohner? How about another MCU appearance forTobey Maguire? Ralph Bohner - Surely There’s More To His Story?

The biggest shock of the MCU’s first TV show,WandaVision, sawEvan Petersarrive at Wanda Maximoff’s door, claiming to be her brother Pietro. For those of you who don’t remember, Pietro Maximoff, or Quicksilver as he’s better known, was played byAaron Taylor-Johnsonand died savingHawkeyeinAvengers: Age of Ultron. Peters, meanwhile, played the speedster in threeX-Menfilms, and his appearance in theMCUled many fans to think the X-Men were joining the MCU timeline.

Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case, and Peter’s was simply a man named Ralph Bohner who Agatha Harkness had brainwashed. While this was disappointing, many fans hope that Peter’s return won’t merely be limited toWandaVision, and the Doctor Strange sequel could be the perfect film to reintroduce him.

Loki - Another Multiverse Destroyer

TheLokiTV series gave us our first real glimpse at the Multiverse as the God of Mischief traveled through space and time to uncover the lies of the TVA. Loki spent the series trying to find the man behind the TVA after teaming up with Sylvie (Sophia Di Martino), a variant of himself with who Loki falls in love.

When they eventually find He Who Remains (Jonathon Majors), they learn that all variants are killed to keep the sacred timeline in order. Sylvie kills He Who Remains despite Loki’s best efforts to stop her, and the timeline falls into utter chaos. If Doctor Strange is on a mission to fix the broken timeline, surely he could do with some assistance from one of the two people responsible for destroying it in the first place.

Peter Number Two - A Reunion With Sam Raimi Perhaps?

When people above a certain age think of Spider-Man, they think ofTobey Maguire. Maguire played the web-slinger in three films between 2002 and 2007, all of which were directed bySam Raimi, the man at the helm of the Doctor Strange sequel.

He recently returned to the role inSpider-Man: No Way Home, and if rumors are to be believed, Maguire’s involvement in the MCU won’t end there. Sources claim he will return at some point, and given his positive relationship with Raimi, it’s logical to assume that he might at the very least cameo in the magic-filled sequel. If he does return, here’s hoping they throw in a dance number for good measure.

White Vision looking shocked in WandaVision.

White Vision - Where Wanda Goes Vision Surely Follows

The whereabouts of White Vision (Paul Bettany) have been unclear since he disappeared in theWandaVisionfinale. The newly-created android went off to do some much-needed soul searching, desperate to learn who and what he truly is. Given the popularity of the character and the fact that he and Wanda are arguably the MCU’s most compelling couple at the moment, it surely won’t be long before White Vision flies back onto our screens.

Dormammu in Doctor Strange

The Doctor Strange sequel might already be too crowded for White Vision to make a sizeable appearance, but a cameo in a post-credits scene certainly isn’t out of the question.

Dormammu - Will He Come Back To Bargain?

Dormammu’s appearance in the firstDoctor Strangefilm was brief but memorable. The villain, also played byBenedict Cumberbatch, was trapped in a time loop until he agreed to leave Earth unharmed. While Dormammu has so far honored these terms, he’ll likely return at some point to seek revenge against the well-groomed man who bested him.

Dormammu is a major villain in the comics, and it seems unlikely that he won’t be allowed to be a primary antagonist in a Doctor Strange film at some point. Maybe theMultiverse of Madnesswill lay the groundwork for this.

The Fantastic Four - They Have To Be Introduced At Some Point, Right?

Very little is known about theFantastic Fourreboot at this point. The film is set to be directed byJon Watts, who helmed the three Spider-Man MCU films, but does not yet have a writer attached or a release date.

Rumors of the cast have flown about since the film was announced (yes, we all wantEmily BluntandJohn Krasinskito take the parts), and it would be a unique feat if Marvel were able to introduce the new cast in this film as a complete surprise. They managed to keepAndrew Garfield’sand Tobey Maguire’s involvement inNo Way Homerelatively hidden, so there’s no reason they can’t do the same for Marvel’s first family.

He Who Remains - Or A Different Version Of Him At Least

Jonathon Majors' performance as He Who Remains, or Kang The Conqueror as the character is better known, was easily the most memorable aspect of theLokifinale. Of course, he didn’t live to the end of the episode, and that’s where Kang’s future becomes a little complicated.

The next iteration of the character, who’s alsoconfirmed to appear in the thirdAnt-Maninstallation, is expected to be a different variant of He Who Remains. In fact, we’re likely to see many iterations of this character over the subsequent phases of the MCU. And if that’s the case, it would be nice to see Doctor Strange come face to face with a more sinister take on the character.

Wolverine - Because Hugh Jackman Deserves To Be In The MCU

It’s been over twenty years sinceHugh Jackmanfirst donned the adamantium clawsand five years since he said goodbye to the role inLogan, but that hasn’t stopped fans desperately hoping he’ll make a return. While it’s unlikely that 53-year-old Jackman will return in a significant role, a cameo certainly isn’t out of the question.

It might even make for a nice send-off if Doctor Strange were to stumble into the X-men universe, allowing Magneto (Ian McKellan), Professor X (Patrick Stewart), and Jackman the opportunity to say goodbye to characters that they all portrayed for over a decade.

Deadpool - Let’s Get Meta In The Multiverse

Though the original script forDeadpool 3was scrapped due to Disney’s acquisition of Fox, it has been confirmed that the merc with a mouth will be introduced to theMCUat some point. Fans are desperate to see another outing ofRyan Reynolds' immortal, wise-cracking hero, andDoctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madnessmight just be the perfect chance for the leather-clad hero to jump over into the world of theAvengers.

This could be wildly entertaining as Deadpool could use his fourth-wall-breaking powers to talk us through everything that’s happened since we last saw him, from the Disney/Fox merger to somehow becoming trapped within the Multiverse.

Quicksilver - No Fake Outs This Time

Aaron Taylor-Johnsonwill be returning as he takes on the role of Kraven The Hunterin Sony’s Spider-Verse, but fans are still hopeful that he might return to his MCU role at some point.Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madnessmight be the perfect place to reintroduce the speedster. After all, various multiverses are bound to have their own version of the character, still alive and well, and it would be a joy to see Taylor-Johnson share the screen withElizabeth Olsenonce again.

Would this version of the character be happy to see his sister? Or would he perhaps play a more villainous role? At this point, fans will take anything.
