StarringRafael Petardi(Red Notice,Code of Honor) and newcomer,Thea Saccoliti, the movie follows the former’s character, a widower named Charles, whose life is forever changed when he finds an unlikely friend with a foster child (Saccoliti) living next door.
A story of hope and perseverancethat focuses on connection and what it means to be a caring person,Depth of Fieldimmediately sets the background for Saccoliti’s Valerie, as she pulls up to the home of her new foster family. From through the chain link fence that separates her yard from the neighbors, Valerie sees Charles (Petardi) playing with a drone, and she immediately becomes obsessed with the device. The pair grows closer, with Charles getting permission from Valerie’s foster parents to teach her more about operating a drone. Over time,a bond is formed between the pair, as they both open up about the grief and loss they’ve felt after losing the people closest to them. One day at a time, both Charles and Valerie begin to see a light at the end of the tunnel they’ve been struggling down, giving each party a new lease on life.
