There’s no doubt about it:Deadpoolis one of the biggest films of the year. Few people saw this coming. The R-rated superhero pic had an audience to be sure, but I don’t think even 20th Century Fox expected a worldwide box office of $761.1 million. And yet, something about the film spoke to audiences worldwide, asRyan Reynolds’ foul-mouthed superhero is a bona fide box office success, withDeadpool 2development already under way.
But before we get to that, Fox has the Blu-ray release ofDeadpoolcoming up on May 10th, at which point you can bask in the R-rated antics as often as you like. Collider’s own Steve Weintraub recently sat down withDeadpooldirectorTim Millerfor an exclusive interview, and during the course of their conversation Miller teased what kind of deleted scenes and extras fans can expect to find on the Blu-ray—and which oneswon’tbe included.

In the interview, Miller details a pretty big sequence that took place between Wade’s cancer diagnosis and him signing up for the experimental treatment, and also talks in general about why he thinks the film connected with so many people. As for what’snoton the Blu-ray, Miller says they literally have half an hour’s worth of footage of Ryan Reynolds, um, partaking in a bit of self-pleasure as part of what Miller refers to as the “missing Vanessa” montage.
