What’s ‘The Mule’ About?
The movie follows90-year-old horticulturist Earl Stone, a broke, alone man facing foreclosure on his business. When he shows up for his granddaughter’s wedding, he takes a job as a drug courier for a Mexican cartel. His immediate success thanks to his age, ethnicity and clean records leads to easy money and a larger shipment that soon draws the attention of hard-charging DEA agent Colin Bates. Things take a turn when Earl’s past mistakes start to weigh heavily on his conscience. He must decide whether to right those wrongs before law enforcement before the cartel thugs catch up to him.
