Christian Baleis prepping hard for his next project, and, of course, fans can expect some physical changes. Popularly known for altering his bodily appearance for roles, Bale is back with as much versatility for the upcomingJohn Maddenbiopic. TitledMadden, heportrays the late Oakland Raiders owner Al Davis, and, thanks to People Magazine, we have a first look at his character behind the scenes in Atlanta.

In the new image, theAmerican Psychostar looks unrecognizable, sporting a more weathered version of himself. He was seen in a receding hairline wig with bleached eyebrows and wearing a white V-neck shirt paired with a leather jacket, black slacks, and dress shoes. The look was completed with a series of championship rings. Not long before Bale’sMaddenlook, co-starNicolas Cagewas also seen in a similarly unrecognizable ensemble, complete with a wavy blonde wig and aqua blue tracksuit.

Directed and written by David O. Russell,Maddenwill also starJohn Mulaneyas Trip Hawkins,Kathryn Hahnas Virginia Madden, andSienna Milleras Carol Davis. Meanwhile, it will chronicle the life and career of former Raiders head coach turned NFL commentator, Madden, who died in 2021 at 85. Cage stars as the legend who also won Super Bowl XI in 1977 for the Raiders. And as teased by Amazon MGM Studios:

“The film follows Madden’s remarkable journey—from his Super Bowl-winning partnership with Al Davis and the Raiders, to creating Madden NFL, and becoming one of the most iconic voices in football history.”
