AnotherHarlan Coben mystery adaptationis on the way, and we’ve just gotten a dramatic new look at the production courtesy ofDigital Spy.Run Awayis an upcoming limited series from the award-winning author, following thesuccessful release ofMissing Youlast month. The new project seesJames Nesbittin the lead as a father whose world starts to crumble when his daughter runs away from home. Nesbitt’s character, Simon Greene, is the center of attention in the newly released images below, with his face covered in blood.
Besides having blood splattered on his face, Nesbitt’s character is seen looking concerned at another character on a stretcher wearing an oxygen mask, while another picture shows co-starMinnie Driver(portraying Ingrid Greene) as well. Based on Coben’s 2019 novel of the same name,Run Awayhas yet to have a premiere date; however, filming was said to have begun last month. Nesbitt and Driver will be joined byEllie de Lange(The Serpent) as Simon’s runaway daughter Paige Greene;Ruth Jones(Gavin & Stacey) as Elena Ravenscroft;Alfred Enoch(How to Get Away with Murder) as Isaac Fagbenle; andJon Pointing(Big Boys) as Ash.

Run Awaywas first announced in January 2024 with Coben attached as executive producer on the series through his company, Final Twist Productions.Fool Me Once’sDanny Brocklehurstis the lead writer and also serves as an executive producer alongsideNicola ShindlerandRichard Fee.Guy HescottandWill McDonaghare producers with Quay Street Productions also attached.
What Does Harlan Coben Have To Say About ‘Run Away’?
According to the award-winning author,Run Away, which consists of eight episodes, will uncover some family secrets, as Simon realizes he has a chance to save his daughter Paige. However, his journey will unearth untold violence that threatens to “blow up” his family for good. Coben also shared:
“Run Away is about family — about what we will do to keep our family intact, what secrets we keep within our family, and what secrets we keep as a family. Every time you walk past the house, there’s a whole universe that goes on behind that door and none of us have a clue what it is.”

Speaking aboutthe lead actor inRun Away, Coben knew Nesbitt would be perfect for the role and proudly sang his praises, saying, “Jimmy just has so much range. He’s so natural and authentic at all times. He’s an empathetic actor in the sense that he feels, and then you feel for him.”
