Marvel’sBlack Pantherdebuted right at the beginning of 2018 and then casually went on to smash the box office and make a bit of history along the way, earning $1.3 billion worldwide en route to becoming the first comic book movie nominated for a Best Picture Oscar. Walt Disney Studios will also be donating a $1.5 million grant to the United Negro College Fund.

The film heads into the 91st Academy Awards on February 24 with six nominations—including nods for Production and Costume Design—having just taken home Best Ensemble Cast at the 2019 Screen Actor’s Guild Awards.
