Board the Dresdnought in and Awesome ‘Alien: Covenant’ Set Tour Video

Love it or hate it, you have to admit thatPrometheuswas one damn good looking movie.Ridley Scottis a filmmaker who likes to make things as real and practical as he can on set, immersing his actors in overwhelming landscapes of detailed worlds.

ForAlien: Covenant, one such set was the iconic Dreadnought, the command deck of an Engineer spaceship first seen as the mysterious home of the space jockey in Alien and then resurrected and explained in Prometheus. Back in June of last year, I had the once in a lifetime opportunity to step on to step on to the smokey set in Sydney, Australia while Covenant was still in production and it was genuinely staggering. Now, thanks to a new behind-the-scenes clip that dropped on Alien Day, you can get a taste of the experience for yourself with an incredibly cool set tour video hosted by Adam Savage. Watch the video and click through the links below to catch up on my coverage from the set.

You Can Hang Out with John Waters at a Summer Camp for Adults

Ever wanted to go to an adult summer camp? No, me neither. How about a summer camp run by trash cinema iconJohn Waters(Pink Flamingos, Hairspray, A Dirty Shame). Now we’re talking.

This summer, Waters will house a boozy, sexy sleepaway camp experience at Club Getaway in Kent, Connecticut. From September 22 to 24, fans will get in the Waters spirit with Hairspray Karaoke, Bloody Mary Bingo, burlesque lessons, a John Waters costume contest (judged by the “pope of trash himself”), film marathon, and dance party. Waters will also perform a one man show. Then there’s plenty of good old fashioned summer camp pass times like arts and crafts time, archery, canoeing, a Slip ‘N Slide, a bungee trampoline, ziplining, waterskiing, and rock climbing. Most of which I assume will be performed drunk and smirking with a cigarette dangling from the corner of your mouth.
