The season finale ofAbbott Elementaryis upon us, as the students embark on their annual field trip. This time, they are on their way to Please Touch Museum after plans to visit the aquarium fell through. As the finale draws near,TV Insiderhas the first look images ahead of the season finale, which images of the students and Janine (Quinta Brunson), Gregory (Tyler James Williams), Jacob (Chris Perfetti), Barbara (Sheryl Lee Ralph), Melissa (Lisa Ann Walter), Ava (Janelle James), and Mr. Johnson (William Stanford Davis).
The museum is different for the students, as the museum promotes learning through play. As it is a real venue in Philadelphia,the cast ofAbbott Elementaryshot the episode on location. The first-look images reveal photos ofAva back at her principal deskafter having her role reinstated and Janine, Barbara, Melissa, and Jacob with their students following their suspension for accepting bribes. The images also showJanine and Gregory’s romance blossoming as they meet in the corridor, and the teachers gearing up for their trip. The students and the teachers are all having fun at the Please Touch Museum, with each of them interacting with the students. In a preview of the season finale withTV Insider, Brunson and the executives teased,“They put the teachers in a compromising positionthat leads to, I think, huge laughs. We get a sense of how the students truly feel about the teachers.” Brunson also said that Barbara and Melissa “have a real chance to shine.”

However, one image that TV Insider provided is of Ava looking concerned, for reasons unknown. As many know,Ava has recently earned her spot behind the principal’s deskafter being fired for accepting bribes, so hopefully, viewers will see her still keep her position. Still,viewers will have to find out tomorrow.
The Future of ‘Abbott Elementary’ Is Looking Bright
With season five ofAbbott Elementaryconfirmed,the future of the show and the school could not look any brighter. During the current season, fans have been upset with the possibility of Barbara retiring, as the possibility has been previously touched on in past episodes. However, according to TV Insider, Ralph says thatBarbara’s work “is not done.”
As for Janine and Gregory,things could only get better for the show’s beloved couple, despiteIt’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia’s Dee Reynolds (Kaitlin Olson) spelling trouble for the two in the crossover episode that aired in January. Brunson previously teased that they are “reaching another big milestone in their relationship.” “It reconciles a lot for Gregory and the way he grew up,” she said. “And I think what’s beautiful about the relationship is that they not only have fun and are dorks, butthey do push each other to grow in all the right directions.”
