It looks like9-1-1: Nashvilleis preparing to debut with a bang. Today,ABCannounced that the series set in the country music capital will appropriately feature a country star in its premiere:Kane Brownis slated to make a cameo when the show kicks off.The spin-off series will expand the universethat started seven years ago with9-1-1. The flagship series is set in Los Angeles, and the new entry is slated to debut on October 9.
According to ABC itself, the singer and songwriter will be “heroic in a major storyline” of the new series, but the network provided no further details. Consideringthe universe in which the9-1-1franchise takes place, chances are that the artist will be involved in a life-or-death situation that demands the presence of first responders. Will he make it to the end of the episode to return in the future? We will have to wait a couple of months to find out.

Last month, the series' main cast memberJessica Capshaw(Grey’s Anatomy) revealed some tidbits of production, including the fact thatthey had already been filming for six weeks— meaning that at least a handful of episodes should be filmed by now. However, ABC will stay mum on details in order to make fans all the more eager to check out the new installment of the hit series. What we know so far is that Capshaw plays the wife of Captain Don Sharpe, played byChris O’Donnell(NCIS: Los Angeles). Sharpe is at the helm of Nashville’s busiest fire station, so we can also expect a fast-paced and high-stakes environment for the new series.
Will There Be a ‘9-1-1’ and ‘9-1-1: Nashville’ Crossover?

There has been no official confirmation of a crossover, though, so we will have to wait for new developments.
