90 Day FiancéstarStevi Savageenjoys painting, and she happens to fancy painting women’s breasts. Since arriving in America and seeing all the portraits,Mahdi Al-Saadi’sbeenconvinced his90 Day Fiancéfranchise partner might be bisexual and won’t stop interrogating her about it,but I think his actions are wildly inappropriate. Stevi and Mahdi are newcomers to Season 11 and at first, I had high hopes for the couple. Mahdi seemed funny and genuine.

He was open-minded about being in America and even seemed to embrace the drastic differences between the cultures, which is rare to see in the franchise. However, there’s been one major issue for Mahdi: Stevi’s sexuality. After seeing all the breast-filled paintings right in his face,he began questioning his role in Stevi’s life and her sexuality. While asking for clarification one time is certainly understandable, I think Mahdi is taking the situation a little above and beyond, and I’m starting to get the ick.

‘90 Day Fiancé’s Mahdi’s Persistence is Cringingly Inappropriate

The momentMahdi saw the paintings of breasts, all hell broke loose. I guess he didn’t realize the extent of his fiancé’s hobby until he saw how the paintings filled her apartment. He questioned her then and refused to accept any answer she gave. However, the interrogations only seemed to escalate and he never seemed satisfied.Plus, the more information he learns, such as discovering Stevi painted her friend nude, he gets more “bisexual vibes.” I feel like he’s being far too pushy with his borderline creepy questions.

Even with Stevi saying no, she’s not interested in women, he doesn’t believe her. On top of that, Mahdi claims it’s not right for Stevi to be able to do things he cannot. His comment only baffles me more, because does he want to have intimate relationships with other men?Is that the real problem — that Stevi was perhaps able to experiment in ways he wasn’t? Something isn’t lining up and Mahdi’s line of question seems off. Obviously, if Stevi is lying, it’s because she fears his response, which, at this point, is understandable.

Sorry, but ‘90 Day: The Last Resort’ Doesn’t Help Its Couples — at All

The show is failing miserably.

‘90 Day Fiancé’s Stevi’s Sexuality Is Irrelevant

I think the90 Day Fiancéstar makes a great point:her sexuality is irrelevant. Her sexual preference doesn’t matter at that moment because she prefers Mahdi. If she brought Mahdi to America and plans to marry him, then I think he should have some confidence in that. Honestly, I can understand his concerns. They’re similar to the problems ofRob WarneandSophie Sierra. It’s possible that Stevi might long for more if she is indeed bisexual. However,Sophie admitted she might long for more, meanwhile Stevi seems firm and confident in her stance.

While I can certainly understand his point of view, Stevi claims Mahdi is a much more open-minded muslim, but how he’s pushing to have answers really has me wondering how the couple might handle other important issues in the future.I also think it’s a major red flag on bow he won’t let this go and seems so bothered by Stevi potentially liking women. I can also understand her frustration too, when it seems like, no matter what she says, he doesn’t believe her.

90 Day: The Last Resort

In the end, I do still have high hopes for this couple. Compared to the other90 Day Fiancéfranchise couples,Stevi and Mahdi seem to have a genuine connection. They also seem to be truly in love and willing to adapt to one another.I just think Mahdi needs to get over this weird hang up and get over it quickly. I understand it’s against his culture, but if they’re not bringing other women into the bedroom, then I’m not sure if I fully understand the concern. Either way though, I hope Mahdi’s able to put aside his insecurities so they can make it down the aisle.
