Blue Jayis one of the simplest films ever made. For the bulk of its runtime, the film consists of just two characters, Jim and Amanda (Mark DuplassandSarah Paulson, respectively), a pair of high school sweethearts who are reunited after twenty years apart. The film follows the former couple over the course of one day, starting with their chance reunion in a supermarket and ending with them going their separate ways again, with directorAlex Lehmannstripping away everything that could distract from his central cast....

Beloved classic children’s programBlue’s Cluesis receiving movie treatment from Paramount Animation. The film is calledBlue’s Big City Adventureand is expected to be released sometime this year. Paramount+’s official Twitter account posted a still from the movie that confirms that all previousBlue’s Clueshosts,Steve Burns,Joshua Dela Cruz, andDonovan Patton, will star in the film. No other information has been provided as far as what the story will be, but the announcement alone was enough to stir up excitement and nostalgia in a lot of social media users....

On March 8th, we’re getting the big screen debut ofBrie Larsonas Carol Danvers, an Air Force fighter pilot who vanishes from Earth and winds up being inducted into the alien race, The Kree, and becoming a member of Starforce, an elite, Special Forces-type group of Kree warriors. We’ll get to visit the Kree planet, Hala, and spend time with Starforce members includingGemma Chanas Minn-Erva andDjimon Hounsouas Korath, but there’s another very important part of the Kree lifestyle that’ll be featured inCaptain Marvel, the Supreme Intelligence....

WithUncle Drewnow playing in theaters, I recently sat down with directorCharles Stone IIIto talk about making the film. If you’re not familiar with Uncle Drew – played by NBA All-StarKyrie Irving -he was originally conceived of by Pepsi for a digital episodic series, and after the monster popularity of the character, was brought to the big screen by Lionsgate.
